Don’t Be Consistent (for the Sake of Consistency)

Consistency is contrary to nature, contrary to life. The only completely consistent people are dead. — Aldous Huxley

Don’t be consistent just for the sake of consistency. Feel free to change your mind whenever you need.

Some people will see this as a weakness, but in fact, it’s a strength. When new evidence presents itself, the best reaction to it is changing your course.

You won’t be consistent with your past self, but your past self didn’t have all the knowledge you have now. You’ve grown, you’ve learned something new, and you’re capable of making a better decision now.

Don’t seek consistency; seek truth instead.
