Learn to Like What You Get

“You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need.” — Mick Jagger

We don’t always get what we want. It’s frustrating, sometimes even infuriating, but to grow, we need all kinds of experiences. Good, bad, expected, and unexpected.

Learning to like what we get, instead of expecting to get what we want, can have a tremendously positive effect on our contentment in life.

Don’t be worried or angry because of the way things are. You can’t change this. You can only change the way you look at it. Accept any outcome, acknowledge it, learn from it, and then move on. Right now, things might be like this, and that’s perfectly okay.
