Dancing With Fear

A while ago, I talked a bit about overcoming the fear of launching, and this week I’d like to tackle an additional aspect of it that might stop you in your tracks… the fear of failure.

Failure is always a possibility. There is no way around this, and there is no way to get rid of the fear. You’ll have to learn to live with it.

What you’re doing might not work (if it’s certain to work you might be playing it too safe or you might already have a passionate audience that negates this effect).

And this is perfectly fine. You can use the fear as a compass (do what you’re afraid to do), acknowledge the fear, accept it, and do it anyway.

Overcoming the Fear of Failure as a Creative

Fear is a compass giving you a hint that you’re onto something…something that might not work. But even though there is that possibility of failure, the fear-as-compass pushes you to persistently, consistently, generously bring your creative work forward.
